Construction & Demolition Debris Management Program � Effective August 13, 2009
On July 14, 2009, the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County adopted Construction & Demolition Debris Management Program for unincorporated areas of Alameda County. Effective August 13, 2009, any covered projects submit for building permit applications will be subject to the Construction & Demolition Debris Management Program.
COVERED PROJECTS
- Any project requiring a demolition permit;
- Residential � Work Area more than 1,000 square feet;
- Non-Residential � Work Area more than 3,000 square feet.
WASTE DIVERSION REQUIREMENTS
- 75% of inert solids;
- 50% of all other construction waste.
SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Building Permit Process: Submit Construction Debris Management Plan at time of building permit application for review and approval.
- Inspection Process: During construction, contractor or permittee shall submit receipts from approved facilities for diversion of waste to the County building inspector for approval.
