Sea Level Rise Adaptation
Sea level rise increases the risk of coastal and riverine flooding, which can threaten coastal communities and critical infrastructure. Responding to sea level rise requires regional coordination and response. The Alameda County Flood Control & Water Conservation District is leading and participating in the Coastal Hazards Adaptation Resiliency Group (CHARG). CHARG is facilitating a coordinated assessment of the impacts of sea level rise and evaluation of potential resilient sea level rise projects among Bay Area public agencies.
